honey bun lap quilt
#1
I bought the honey bun on ebay last year and had forgotten I had it. Rummaging for something else it popped up. My husband - a freshly retired drama/debate teacher, wanted a lap quilt for a gradaute so ... here it is!
The honey bun is Moda - Nostalgia. Our LQS helped me add the borders. Both borders came off the sale shelf and fit my requirement that they tone down the "girly girl" look to the top. This is why I go to my LQS as often as I can ... their expertise and knowledge of stock are unbeatable! Of course, while I was spending about $8 on border material for a very inexpensive quilt I also picked up two kits. Hmmmm.... This little quilt cost me more than I figured! :)

I have always liked the fleur-de-lis pattern, maybe they make everything look so impressive. so it is without saying I like it. Being new to quilting here is another one of my dumb questiona;; is the pattern "Honey Bun" or the name of your quilt. I am collecting scraps and cutting them into 1 1/2 strips to sew. So if any body ask I can say I am making a Honey Bun.Is this OK with you?
