    I wish I could get a better picture of this one but my camera wants to darken everything. I did the iris with colored pencils. The purple on the background isn't nearly as dark as what the picture shows. It was fun though and will probably do it again. By the way, the iris are out of my garden. I couldn't resist drawing them when they were opened. I love the positive and negative look on the outside edges. Now I have to decide how to quilt it.

    What kind of pencils did you use? The iris is so life like with the veins and curled edges. Will it be a wall hanging or will it go in a quilt?

    It's a wall hanging. I used Prisma colored pencils. I am not sure how washable it would be though.
