My first quilt top is ready to finish!
#1
Wow. I never thought I'd spend more time making this border than I did on the blocks for this but I am glad I did. Thanks to everyone of you who inspired me, gave me tips and suggested the thin black border before the seminole piece work.
I plan to finish it with a solid black binding and the back will be 4 equal lenght pieces of black / white material I have left over.
I named her "Basic Black" and I plan to have her LAQ by a friend from my sisters church.
I am a finish what you started type of gal but Now I am FREE to start another one!!!
**All the other quilts in this room were made by my MIL* who gave me all she had in her sewing room when she could no longer see well enough to sew.*
