    Ok... so call me a dummy when it comes to posts and the abbreviations people use. I don't twitter or use face book. I finally just figured out what "LQS" meant. I thought maybe we could help others out by posting some popular abbreviations here and what they mean.

    For instance: LQS I think means Local Quilt store

    I see DD posted all the time and don't know what that one means.

    I do know what LOL means and some are going to be doing that when they read this for sure!

    some more you will see here on the board

    DH=Dear Husband
    DW=Dear Wife
    DD=Dear Daughter
    DS=Dear Son
    GD=Grand Daughter (sometimes addind a D=Dear in front of some of these)
    GS=Grand Son
    SIL= Son in law or Sister in law
    DIL= Daughter in law
    BIL=Brother in law
    Grands= Grandchildren

    LOL=lots of laughs
    LMBO=laughing my butt off
    PMSL= peeing my self laughing
    TTYL= talk to you later
    TTFN=ta ta for now

    How about the quilting shortcuts. Those had me stumped for a while.

    HST = Half square triangle
    OBW = One Block Wonder

    There is a book out there called "One Block Wonders" there is also a follow up book. Both are inspiring to look through.
