I recently made this quilt as a gift for my Mom. It is machine appliqued and was professionally quilted.

Thank you for all of the nice comments. It was my first quilt. I've always stuck to small projects, tablerunners, wallhangings etc. so this quilt was a challenge for me.

I really enjoyed making it though and might try another quilt in the future. My husband thinks I should make one for our king-size bed...YIKES!

You are right...the quilter did an unbelievable job on this quilt. She really put her heart into it to make it so special for my Mom. I didn't feel that she charged me enough so I sent her a $100 Visa card along with a heartfelt thank you note. Like I told her, "I gave to you a pretty quilt top, and you returned to me a stunning quilt"

How pretty...and the quilting definitely compliments the quilt.
