I have stains on white material that won't come out! Somehow the basting spray got on this- it sat around as a UFO for about a month. I've washed it twice, used Shout on it and it's still there. Any advice?

I swear by the stain remover "Awesome" I get it at my local Dollar General Store. It's usually on the bottom shelf. I have gotten stains out that have been through the dryer even!

OH, I am so sorry. I don't know of anything that will take that out, you could try Totally Awesome that you buy at the Dollar store, it does take out a lot of stains.

I have never used basting spray and now I know for sure I never will. I wondered what might eventually happen with that type of chemical.

    Good luck.

I have never encountered this problem but I have had luck with OxyClean on stains.

I'm washing it one more time with lots of Clorox II bleach for colors. That worked for me once with a t-shirt that got washed with something red and the t-shirt ended up pinkish. If that doesn't work I'll go get that stain remover at the Dollar Store.

Funny, we must have posted at the same time. It even took out old grease stains on one of my shirts I have been trying to get out forever.

I have a question about Awsome. I finally found it at my dollar store. The instructions say to dilute it because is very concentrated, but it comes in a spray bottle. How do you use it?

You might test it, but I used it straight from the bottle and sprayed directly on the stain.

If you can't get it out, try tea dying the whole thing...you won't have a white quilt anymore, but perhaps the stains won't show up...maybe someone has direct experience doing this? Would it work, or would the stain show thru the tea dye too?
