I made this throw quilt for Mom out of Pop's shirt. He passed away a year ago. I will be giving her the quilt tomorrow. I am anxious to give it ,but also kind of sad that it is finished.

That is a beautiful and sweet quilt! I'm so sad your Pop passed away! I imagine it will kind feel like you're losing him again when you give this to your Mom. Will you be able to make one for yourself?
I'm sure your Mom is going to love it!

Sevencubs, that is very thouching. You did a beautiful job and I am sure your Mom will cherish it.
I also have a quilt to make like this.....only it will be out of my sons clothing. He was 25 and passed away a year ago in Febuary. I have not been able to work on the quilt yet, but some day I hope to do it as beautifully as you did.

SEVENCUBS , you did a beautiful job! You Mom will cherish it always for sure! I'm so sorry to hear you lost your father.
joyful_noise I also sorry to hear about your son. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a child. My heart breaks for you. I do understand not being able to start his quilt, we lost my brother a year ago this past January 20th. I've harvested the fabric from his blue jeans, and the front of his favorite Harley T-shirt, but haven't yet been able to do anything with it. I take it out every now and again, look at it. Make plans for it, then put it back in the closet. If I ever get it done, it will go to his little grandson.
My prayers for healing for both your families.
