I think I am ready to tackle BowTuck tote.

Most that I have seen are 13x11x5. I am looking for something larger. Has anyone made one larger and if so where did you find the pattern.

There are tons online but they all seem to be smaller than what I would like to make.

Just buy the pattern and then enlarge your peices when you are cutting. So if you want to make it 3 inches bigger make sure you add 3 inches on every part lol

I thought about that, I'm great with quilt patterns, not so sure with anything else.

I have the large pattern and wanted to make one smaller.
I first took the overall dimensions and multiplied them by .5.......the size I came up with was too small. so then I multiplied the dimensions by .75.........just right. : )

To make a larger tote, I'd take the original dimensions and start by multiplying by 1.25...... 13 X 1.25= 16.25
11 X 1.25= 13.75 5 X 1.25 =6.25 so your enlarged bag would be about 16 1/4" X 13 3/4" X 6 1/4"........is that the size you want finished?? If not, multiply each dimension by another enlargement.
Now, go to the pattern and look at EACH piece you need to cut, and take EACH dimension of every piece and multiply by 1.25......I would recommend doing the multiplication for each piece and writing it all down as you go.
Then double check your numbers BEFORE you cut any of your fabric.....

I will buy a pattern and try this. I have never seen the pattern, so wasn't sure if it was templates or rotary cut. So sounds like it is rotary cut strips. Which makes it so much easier to enlarge.

Yes, this is a rotary cut project. Very easy to cut out. If you make the bag larger you might consider longer handles. I made the handles 27 inches each on my larger bag. In the unmodified pattern you cut one strip the width of fabric (WOF) then cut in half to get two handles so you can't make them any longer unless you cut two strips.
