Does anyone know if there is a resource available on what attachments can work with a Singer 66?

I found a low shank Singer buttonhole attachment, but I can't find out whether it will work on a 66 or not.

Today I picked up the treadle I purchased last week. It's a little worse for wear, than the photos showed.. but all the same it's still workable. Unfortunately the attachments seem to be a combination of Singer and Bernina feet. I've spent the last 4 hours trying to track down what feet will work (or even find the ones I am missing).

So any help anyone can give me will be so gratefully received.

If it uses the same feet as the featherweight, which I think it does, then the buttonhole attachment should work ok.

Ask Billy (lostin51) on the vintage machine thread in the virtual section. He can tell you for sure.

I agree ask Lostn51 or Charlee, they are our resident experts!

You mentioned on the vintage machine shop thread that you saw a buttonhole attachment, but did not get it because the machine is straight stitch only. You might want to re-think this. The buttonhole attachment for many of these machines provides the needed motion - I do not know all the ins and outs, but I remember making clothes in my mother's straight stitch machine. When it came time for the buttonholes, she put the attachment on, and zipped through the process. Made the nicest buttonholes. No new machine has been able to match the buttonholes made by that attachment.

As to what feet fit your machine, I am afraid I am no help. Did Charlee or Billy respond to your question?

I was quite worried because my question got "lost" in the thread. Thankfully Miz Johnny replied. I'm off to do more resource on-line with the links provided.

Thank you to everyone who responded here. I really do appreciate it.

I think I'll buy the buttonhole attachment as well :)
