lol this post reminded me of a funny my son had once....

We were walking down the ice cream isle at the grocery store. He sees the turtle ice cream and he points it out and yells EWWWWWWWW in the exaggerated disgusted sound that little boys get. lol he thought there were turtle chopped up in it.

lol I set him straight though :)

Check out pretzel turtles under allrecipes.com
Use small round pretzels (the ones that are tied in a bow shape)
    rolo candies
    pecan halves

Heat oven to 400, lay pretzels flat on a cookie sheet, bake for about 4 minutes, while rolo is soft, mash down a pecan half. You wanted to use coconut. I don't know why you couldn't put a tiny bit of shredded coconut on top before you mash down the pecan.

I never heard of Turtles having coconut in them. The turtles I have made start with 6 pecans, 4 for legs, one for the head, & one for the tail. Melt unwrapped caramels in a small pan. Spoon caramel over pecans leaving ends of nuts bare. Let caramel firm up & cool off. Melt milk chocolate chips. Spoon chocolate over candy & nuts to cover all. Chill in fridge. Keep cool.
