    This was posted by one of my members and I think it is the greatest. At my group we save all the itsy-bitsy clippings of threads/fabrics/batting and pass them onto our local Age Concern who gets pennies per ton of them from the modern Rag-n-bone man, what she does is:

    Clip an old pillowcase to your quilting table and drop all of them in there, when there is enough to make a comfy bed, don't over-stuff cos of the weight when you wash, stitch the end together, and you have a nice little comfy bed for your favourite fur-baby.

    My added tip is to add another pillowcase which you can wash when needed. :idea:

    I sewed a piece of fleece into a pillow case and do this for my babies, they love it

    I have one in process now---almost full enough, but had to tie it shut cause the kitties think it great fun to pull it all out and spread it around the house!

    Thats how my fur babies get there 'new' beds all the trims from my quilts they are excited when I finish plus when we have puppies they go home with goody bag which has a puppy toy or two made from me
