A bow tie made in this manner is a lot easier than the one with the set in seams.

ShellyQ...I too wish to thank you for the excellent tutorials. I've learned so many neat tips and things from your instructions and you've again inspired me to do the star and the bow tie. I made a bow tie about a year ago but put them in rows rather than making the rounded shape. Now I have to make the rounded shape AND, low and behold, I have fabric that is so similar, if not exactly, like your tutorial photos for the bow tie so I already know what my quilt is going to look like...SMASHING!
    Thank you.

I just saw your picture of the red & white Metropolitan convertible and LOVE it. When I was young (lots of years ago), this was my first car that I ever owned (1960). I wish I still had it. It really served me well for quite a few years and I didn't sell it willingly. My husband convince me that it was ready for a new home. I wanted to fix it up and keep it forever.
Do you have one? Do you just love it? How long have you had it?
God bless you for putting up with my questions. I really miss my little car.

This was intended for Barbm. Sorry to bother you with it Shelly--but thank you for the excellent info about quilting and the blocks.
    God bless.

    Ann-

I've had my '57 since '95. I love it! It's in the process of restoration, but when it's done it will be mardi gras red and frost white. I can't wait to drive it again! I want to make a quilt to throw in the basck for the chilly nights at the cruises.
