The construction paper was cut 3 inches wide and 8 inches long.
The 3 fabric strips were cut in the same dimensions and the bookmark was trimmed after completion. For the 2 toned effect of the top layer of the bookmark, I used Wonderunder to fuse two strips of fabric together. I then cut the slits in the 2 toned prepared strip, folded and stitched it on top of a third darker strip. I sewed around the edge and down the middle to keep everything in place and used my pinking shears to give it a fancy edge.
