Yes, they are the same unless it was specially made to fit a custom made bed. Use really soft fabric so it won't irrate the baby's skin. And tell the Mom how the fabric needs to be washed.

Just a thought, the mattress width and length is much smaller than the fabric pattern so if you end up with fabric that is only 40" wide it will be just fine. The extra is so you have a "very" generous tuck under.
