I have a friend that used the five inch blocks and did her cut one inch from the seam. I think I like the one and a half inch better.

My friend, Roz, made this block following your Tute, and brought it to our summer breakfast show and tell. The block is gorgeous "in person". We're all going to make it now.

You did a wonderful job on the tutorial.

the lady who taught me said that you could use different size blocks to make the 4p just adjust your cut to whatever....maybe on a 6" block do a 2" cut? I think its something you could play around with a lot! Oh and thanks ya'll!

I just got 2 fabulous fabrics from Jinny Beyer's Outback collection. I'm going to get moving on it :D Love the way you get the 4 patch in the middle after you cut.
    Thanks again!!!

Wow, that looks like fun! I can't wait to try it. I haven't done a disappearing 9-patch yet, and I may try this first. Thanks!!

We have been playing around with this block in our 9P project. It turns out beautifully no matter the fabric. I have links to the blocks being made on our activities page-

I think Dagny did this with a 9P for one of her tops. I know GrammaNancy has some examples with her blocks, also quilt queen 2 did some and I did some in flannel. I wish I had somemore of that flannel would have made a great guy's quilt.

I am going to buy a neutral color and I have a load of 5" squares. See if I cam find 2 alike then make more of different colors for a real scrappy quilt.
