Disappearing 4 patch
#51
I just read through the first page, but here is my input <g>
Aren't you the creative one, though?
With a bit more planning, one could have the beginnings of a bargello quilt with a twist ...
Good job!
I do a lot of work with 5" squares for lap robes for veterans ... this will add a dimension to the design I had not considered.
Thank you very much for the tutorial! <wave>

ginnie6,
You are no longer a "beginner quilter," now you're an instructor! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I've never seen anything like the Disappearing 4 Patch, and I love it. I studied your photos for a long time and -- poof! -- I get it. This one should be easy to remember, easy to sew.

This is one of many threads within the Board that addresses Bargello.
If you go to the top of this page and click on "Search", type in the words "Bargello with a twist" a number of threads within this board will pop up. It is a matter of clicking on the thread names to peruse a number of examples.
As clever as the originator of this thread is, she will be able to connect her D4P with a bargello, I am sure. <wave>

Thanks for posting. This is great. I am always looking for new simple patterns to make quilts for the Childrens Home. I make 2-3 of one pattern and then look for another. Today I have found 2 different ones. Love this site.
