    Trim up the edges with your rotary cutter. This is your finished piece!

    I should also add that if the measurements don't come out even for your quilt, the book I learned this from just cuts across the border.

    I am going to try that-I am working on a quilt with 12 blocks having 4 different fabrics for the month of the year and was wondering how to border it-now I know I can use some of the fabric from each month to make the brick walk around it-that will be perfect--thanks!
