Great idea! I love my magnetic pin holder, but can't find another for the cutting table. Guess I know what I'm doing this afternoon.

I was just thinking I need another one yesterday, I always tote mine room to room, and I love this idea! I can make a pretty one, instead of the utilitarian plastic looking ones I have.

Loved your tute, when I was a little girl my mom belonged to our schools PTA and they use to make pincushions using empty tuna cans, covered with cloth and they used foam for the cushion part, I remember her sitting and making these at the dinning room table to take to the sales. They put all kinds of decorations on them. This brought back memories.

I like yours because of the magnet, very clever. I will have to try one, thanks.

You could also just use a cover, right? Cutting/covering cardboard/plastic for a base? Flat, slim. easy to carry...hmmmmm? Can it be done?

So I fashioned one from things I had around the house. I liked it so much, I made another one to keep on my cutting table. And since I was making another one I decided to share the process with QB today! It only took about half an hour to make it!
