I did not think that I could ever make the pretty mitered boarders. I have a bit more confidence now, and may try it, but I have a question. I wonder if my binding would look silly with it. Is there a way to do mitered binding, or should I stick with the other way?

I'm happy that it has helped you all. :D

Binding is automatically mitered, isn't it? The only way I've ever done it is to miter the corners.

Check out the video by Sharon Schamber on Bindings. Don't have to do the glue and stuff but how she does the corner is how it's normally done, as fas as I know.

Actually, being self-taught and not knowing any better, I have always had my bindings meet straight up, with the ends of the last two sides tucked under themselves. I know that does not make much sense without a picture.

I have done them with stress and have the same unhappy results that you have experienced. I look forward to trying your method. Pictures help. Thank you.
