#21
Great cards Cookie, they really get the brain to thinking. I love the Halloween one. It's a hoot. lol And, the song one is really spot on and the I can't believe how spot on you got the fortune cookie one to look.

i have another method for finishing off the edges of my fabric postcards. it gives it a colorful look. tutorial to follow:
i iron steam-a-seam fusible on the back of my fabric.

i then cut 3/4" strips

i cut two 6" long strips and two 4" strips

i then fold them in half lengthwise. if the fusible backing paper comes off, great...take it all off.

now go to ironing board with your postcard and butt the edge of the postcard

and iron it carefully to the front, don't burn your fingers. turn postcard over and iron to the back.

do this on all sides

and you are done. no need to stitch it down.

I think it is a great way to finish a fabric postcard.

i make shaker box postcards. i follow the above directions, but i put a layer of clear plastic, you get it at Joanns by the table cloth fabrics. I get different glitters from the party store, this time, happy birthday, and sew along all the edges to keep glitter inside. They are cute, and different than most postcards. I did birthday this year, and I'll do Christmas this year too. I'm starting now to get a jump on it.
