Played with my first piece this morning. I used 1.5 meters of fabric so did not get complete coverage but it is still pretty interesting fabric. Used Dylon cold dyes - Tahiti pink and wine. Tomorrow I'm going to use 1 meter of fabric for better coverage and red plus pearl gray dyes. Thanks again for the tutorial.

Thanks. I scrunched as much as needed to get it all onto the rack in my sink. Used quite a bit of dye, too. Or so I thought. I guess I'm just going to have to play some more. A friend gave me lots of the old Dylon cold water dyes so I can play as much as I want.

I've been playing. Have found that an off-white fabric seems to produce brighter colours than a pale gray.
Tomorrow, I want to try using a pale orange fabric with a smidge of black, some orange, purple and green. Could be interesting. I'll have to take note of my dye amounts if I want to try to get a second piece to closely match. I've managed to get two pieces of the purple and blue to match pretty closely.
Thanks so much, I am having a ball.
