    If you take a scrap of spare fabric and cut the shape of the purple fabric, then put that central snip in it to the pivot point, you will be able to pull it into a straight line. You can then see how it is possible to sew another patch to it, there is just the problem of folding the bulk out of the way while you do the sewing. I hope that helps you to 'get your head' around the problem.

    Thank you... that's perfectly illustrated. I'm having a day of sewing today, I'm going to have a go at the Y seam and this one too.

    Thanks Lesley for the great tute! I staggered onto LS10 and finally got it to go together with a little twisting and turning and choice words. The iron came in real handy too!! Should have waited for your tute. I'm tackling TR9 next. Whew! Wish me luck!!

    Anyone know how I can print out this tute? I want to take it to a class I'm going to and won't have internet access...

    Short of hitting File, then Print, sorry, no I don't. Plus I have a nasty feeling that if you do do that, it wants to print every page. At least this one is only two pages long. Best of luck.

    No, it prints either people's avatars and some of the ads or nothing. Can't get it to print out...grrrrr
