Hobby lobby sells a microwave potato holder batting. Bought it at 40% off and will use it for the next microwave bowls I make. I am always getting scorched spots in mine but other people I have given them to don't. I'm thinking it must bemy microwave.

I used mine tonight to hold the ice cream bowl! Hot or cold they are just the greatest
thing to have.

I saw them at a quilt shop and they were $10 for the larger one and $8 for the smaller one
