Nice and colorful Dresden and good Idea. I have also put a different twist to a Dresden. I put a Yoyo in the middle of my Dresden quilt that I am making. I color coordinated the yoyo.

Absolutely gorgeous, thanks for sharing anxious to go buy the template and make one myself. This is the first dresden plate that I have seen that I really like thanks for sharing.

HHow big across is this "dresden"? Could you use just one for a table topper maybe sewn on an octagon plain fabric?

I love it. I have so many jelly rolls that I could use up. I thank you for the link to the tutotial. That site is so much fun, it may be like this Quilting Board. I just may go there often. I think I want to make one from batiks. . .one from earth tones. . . one from green. . . . .

From tip to tip it's 11". I cut the base block 12 1/2". It would make a great table topper and I think an octagon would be real nice.

Thanks, Shelley, I only have a small machine so I make a lot of table toppers and runners for gifts. I think this would make a pretty one. Thanks for sharing.

I really love this version of the dresdan plate. I belong to a small group of quilters who love to use 30's repro fabrics so I need to share this link with them.
