I think I can draw a pattern close to the Cedar Creek one, then take elastic and and sew a strip for the waste band while it's stretched so it looks like the top of boxers and sew along the top. I'm going to give it a try. I have all kinds of plades to play with. I'll post what I come up with : )

Boxer short quilts I made for my twin grandsons.
I would suggest, if making a quilt (not wall-hanging), that a child's size pattern using of front shorts be used. The shorts are quite tiny for the wall-hanging pattern and it distorts as it's enlarged. SUCH A FUN quilt to make.
