Thank you so much for this tutorial! I watched the YouTube one and sewed the first 2 seams wrong (since she just shows them after they're done). I appreciate you showing EVERYTHING - so helpful!

Do you have any tricks for sewing the 3rd seam to ensure the center fabric doesn't get caught in the seam?

I am having the same issue. I've tried lots of pinning but the edges of fabric #5 (center) still come out. I've had to open up the seams and force them back in. Any other suggestions besides lots of pins? A way to fold or pull the fabric, maybe?

OK I know this isn't related to your block at all but I have to share when I was a little girl in San Francisco my dad worked for Westinghouse and they wanted to transfer him to Painted Post, NewYork well my dad found out it snowed there so we didn't go!

Thanks for the tute. I now understand the last seam. That bunched up focus fabric always intimidated me, but your directions made it clear :thumbup:

Yes, it does snow here, hence the quantity of quilts I make during that time!!!

I am so pleased that you took the plunge and did this. The 5 inch squares ARE perfect for this type of quick quilt!

I know getting the seam edge to edge can be a little tricky. I guess the only suggestion is to take your time and line things up, pin where the fabric seems to want to pull away. I also press my fabric first, so it seems to be a little more 'stiff', making it a bit easier to work with.
