To make a full size quilt or larger, how many strips would be needed? Dont know if that is the correct wording to use or not. If you just added more but different strips the pattern or rows would be off ,right?

Hi! I wondered about this too, so I did what my family accuses me of all the time " she looks it up on internet". I asked "how to figure out the yardage for a quilt?" Several websites listed, here's just one I found. I like Quilter's Cache and think Marcia has done a good job with this chart.

If you using alot of different fabrics, I would think it would give more of a "scrappy" to the quilt because the same fabric isn't going to be repeated as often. Hope this helps, Chris

YOU QUILT IS BEAUTIFUL. i guess i am just dense. when you say the bottom to the top do you just take the bottom and fold it to the top and then sew the two pieces at the top?

I'm not dotty but I will answer your question. Yes just pull the bottom to the top and sew it together.

Thanks for the tute!

It look easy enough but I'm with tange krause, I'm not understanding the "top to bottom" part. I would think to make a "tube" you'd have to stitch the right and left side together. The picture looks like you did(?). Sorry, if I appear dumb, I am fairly new to quilting.
