It is so beautiful, it looks good enough to eat. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously, it is the prettiest pin cushion I have ever seen.

It is beautifful. have just challenged our guild to do pincushions for our Christmas party so going to add this one to show as an example as dont want them to make traditional pincushions

Thanks for the wonderful directions and picture of the darling pincushion cake. I'm thinking that my granddaughters would love the cake as a toy for their play kitchen, but no glass plate! Any ideas of how to make the cake into a birthday cake and put the candles on it? They just love blowing out candles. Making a tube and putting a little yellow 'flame' on it would be no problem, but how to attach the candle to the cake and make it stand up is what I'm trying to figure out. Thanks.

I am continually surprised at the level of creativity and imagination of the (mostly) women on this board. This cake is so beautiful and makes such a statement. And the instructions are very well done...easy to follow and boy, the diagrams look very professional. I think I could "bake" one of these, following the excellent instructions. Thanks so much for posting your beautiful pincushion and sharing the directions.
