I just sat here and checked out your tute. Loved it. i do it this way too but loved the way you illustrated so it would be smoother around the edges....I hand stitch but agree the machine is the way to do for much used projects.

Just found your tutorial Izy! You do an excellent job of showing the steps. I've always basted the edges but never tried using freezer paper. I might have to try this. It looks a bit easier. I don't much care for needle turn tho I can do it but this is much faster too than needle turn.
