Thanks for posting. I had forgotten about using the 10" block and cutting it twice.

Great tutorial and very easy block. Thanks for sharing. I plan to use that for a charity quilt.

Love watching her tutorials. I hadn't seen this one done with a layer cake. Looks like a fun and easy quilt to make.

I have that pattern in one of my books. :) I'm actually working on 2 of those right now. :)

I can't believe how quickly this went together. From layer cake to completed top only took a few hours this morning, and I LOVE it. I'm not sure I'll be able to give it away as intended! LOL
Thank you for asking about it, and thank you everyone for the links. This will be my new go-to for sure. |
Thanks so much for the links, I love working with layer cakes, jelly rolls and 5" squares. Have lots of patterns but it seems so quick and easy to just cut strips, etc. Thanks........

Can't find this tutorial anymore. It was called Twice slice, or Slice it twice or something like that. It was about an easy way to use a Layer Cake and first cut a 10" square into a 3.5" and a 9". Then pick random pieces of the 9" and 3.5" and sew them together again. Then cut it again, but I forgot how. I can't find this tutorial on their web site anymore. Don't know if they took it off. Anybody out there who has it or knows what I am talking about.
Thanks |
Missouri Star Quilt Co. is just super for their tutorials, ideas and online quilt shop. I wished I lived closer, I'd surely frequent their shop.
