i under stand that however, in the original format of the tutorial, they were all individual windows......, that was the problem, before the word doc or PDF......aren't we all getting so computer savy in our 'advanced youth'.......

Looks wonderful. You can do so many cute Mug Rugs with different shapes. Pumpkins for Hallowen, Turkeys for Thanksgiving, XMas Trees for Christmas ............ Actually they can be more fun that making place mats or table runners. Cute ideas for gift baskets. The ideas are endless on the Quilter's Message Board. Happy Creating.

I am so impressed with all of you. the tute was great in the first place and then to have it all together so I can keep it on my computer was the icing on the cake. Thanks so much to all of you. Hope we can do this with more of the tutes. ...I way we...but I really mean 'someone' because I would have no clue where to begin. Thanks again to you talented folks!

Since I used some stabilizer to make mine stiff, I could not turn them so I just cut around the finished leaf with pinking shears and everyone at quilt club loved them.
|
I was reading this AM and thinking - Teacher's gifts. Now I know what to make and downloaded your great tute. You're inspiring.....Thank you!
|
Very pretty! Thank you for this nice tute. The leave pattern is so lovable and the fabric is just a perfect match.
I will have to make some for Christmas gift. |
I can't figure out how to download the pattern and directions but it seems relatively self-explanatory after reading through your tutorial. Very sweet Fall idea; I have a pattern for shells and starfish done larger for a table runner and leaves could work exactly the same way as you done, just enlarged--maybe even with a variety of leaves (oak, maple, birch, etc.) Love it when someone gets my creative juices flowing! Thanks again.
|
Hi Quilterinmotion! Thanks and I love your ideas of the shells and starfish too.
Used to be you could just click the word "download" right underneath the picture of the pattern on page 1, but for some reason that has disappeared! No wonder I've been getting inquiries. :( Huh! Same thing happened on another tutorial with downloadable pictures that I posted before the QB changed over. This is a new developement, because I know those were still okay last Spring. Marcia & Kim created Word and .PDF files for people to download and they used to be on page 19. That too has changed. It's mysterious - I can't figure out why they aren't there anymore. All over this topic it says to look on page 19. Arg! So I searched around and found what I hope are the finalized versions. Marcia's final copy using Word is on the bottom of page 25, Post #250. Kim's finalized version in .PDF format is on page 23, post # 229. From one of those you should be able to print the pattern. Or you could trace a real Maple Leaf, simplify it a bit and make your own. Sorry for the trouble - I wish I knew why those things disappeared. |
Great tutorial! Love the maple leaf and your fabrics are beautiful. I'm going to make a bunch and send them to my sister who is in a nursing home in Florida. These would make great thank you gifts to the staff. Thanks for sharing.
|
Amazing... these would look lovely in a grouping on my kitchen counter top...very handy for the whole family... Great idea - thank you for sharing.

I just put some photos up and they didn't show, so if you see two sets you will know what happened.
I made mine with flannel on the inside because I wanted to put them on the table like leaves, didn't want them real thick. |
