I'm little late in catching up with things and this is no exception! When I saw the first photos, I thought what a great idea for a Thanksgiving/Christmas buffet table. Make some of the bowls for different casserole dishes, would help protect the table and help keep the food warm for a little longer. Chris

I made these awhile ago and made for different size bowls. Use one every morning for my oatmeal. just remember to use 100% cotton material, batting and thread so no chance of a fire.

I love this, and need one of these so many times when I get my bowls out of the microwave!

Without reading through all 376 posts as of this date, I have 1 comment, and then a question. First, I was advised specifically to use only Warm Tater because it's 100% cotton with no scrim. I don't know what scrim is, so I asked the lady at the fabric store. She promptly called her contact person at The Warm Company, and she was told that scrim is a "foundation", and no, there is NO foundation in the Warm Tater, thus NO Scrim, and NO risk of it being flammable in the microwave. Now my question: Does anybody KNOW whether there is a risk of flammability if you make a bowl out of fabric that has the beautiful "metallic" threads and colorings in it?????

I read NOT to use metallic thread
