The "Weightless Quilter" is a contraption something like that, but she had it around a card table. There is only a rack on the floor with uprights holding the quilt. There were two weights of uprights. You could use the thin ones for light quilts, the thicker ones for heavier quilts and both together for really heavy quilts.

I did 2 bungee cords hanging from 2 eye screws in the ceiling and tied a clamp at both ends...works great, very little expense..the clamps I ordered from a quilting site...they are for the ends of the long arm quilting set up, to clamp the sides of the quilt to keep taute,,I tried to find clamps at several stores, but they were too hard to open..these that I got are fantastic...keeps a king size quilt up at the back of my sit down quilting machine...good luck with yours..l

This is AMAZING I can not wait to get started making this I have so many quilts just waiting to be quilted and its literally impossible to do it on my sewing machine without something like this and they do make something similar but it's almost $400.00 and when your on a fixed income that's just out of the question so Thank you for this its definitely within my reach!!!
