    Rhonda:
Loving your new avatar. Is it a mini? I've been out of pocket for a while. You have probably had it up for a while.

It was one of the doll quilts I made for the doll quilt swap earlier this year. The individual quilt blocks are def minis. There are the 4 x 4s and then some are just a couple of blocks sewn together and stuck in there to balance the quilt blocks. Look up above where I showed the whole quilt. It was I think about 14" x 18" with the borders.

Actually Doug I just put it up a couple of days ago. I get tired of looking at the same thing all the time. But I don't want to change it too fast as some have a hard time finding me if I keep changing too often.

What did I have to do with you figuring it out Katie? I love the look of it! Beautiful colors as always!!
I never really paid any attention to how blocks were made. I would just look at the entire quilt and if I liked it, I'd make it. (with pattern) Because of what you taught me, I now look at every quilt block and see just how its made. This wasn't your design, but a few months back when I first saw someone on here who had just finished one, I thought I couldn''t do that. But not only did I do it, I did it without a pattern. You taught me how to look at quilts and how easy a lot of patterns really are.

Thanks Katie I am glad I helped you see the construction and not just the overall look. That is one of the things I have been trying to get across. You can look at traditional quilt blocks and "see" how they are made. Some of them can be made using my methods instead of the traditinal trace and cut. I love it when a "student" gets it!
