Simple catch all

I actually have 2 longish hotpad/potholders that I had no clue what to do with. They were handed down to me from my DSIL, still brand new as not to his color preferences. They will be perfect for these and even are long enough to use regular size baggies!!!! Thank you for a wonderful idea!! hugs and smilessssss

I have a made something like this, but hadn't though of starting with a ready made potholder. Thanks Sherry (ssnare), as I have a few new potholders that don't go well in the kitchen too. I recommend "freezer" weight bags if you can... they will hold up much longer. Also, the ones with a little handle on them are a bit easier to open & close fast. Quart size is good, even if you have to trim them a little shorter to fit.
I saw a YouTube video on a similar idea by Marguerita McManus recently, where she uses those small softside lunchbox totes, with zippers all around, then sews the ziplocks down on the inside bottom edge. Good for those carrying rotary cutters & other sharp tools to class. She actually has 2 different videos on this for those who want visual training on a similar idea.
