    Block #3

    1. light- Template # 4 Cut 1- 2 1/2 " square

    2. light- Template # 5 Cut 1 - 3 1/2 " square

    3. dark- Templates # 6 and 6 R Cut 1 strip 2" x 7" long
    Use templates to cut pieces.

    4. dark- Template #7 cut 1- 2 3/8" square. Cut in half diagonally.

    5. light- Template # 7 cut 1- 2 3/8" square cut in half diagonally

OPTION: Instead of above, you may choose to cut 2- 2" squares -place them on the correct side of the light rectangle.
sew on the center line of the square diagonally, press flip the little to the corner, press again then trim away the corner underneath. Just make sure the sewing line is going in the correct direction

    6. light- Template # 8 cut 1- 3 1/7/8" square, cut in half diagonally, use only one.

    7. light- Template # 9 cut 2 2" x 3 1/2 " rectangle.

    8. dark- Template # 10 cut one- 7/8" x 7 7/8" strip on the bias.

Option: Use curved template for applique.

    Block # 4
    1. light- Template # 11 cut one strip 1-1/2" x 14" long

    2. med- Template # 11 cut one strip 1-1/2" x 14" long

    3. dark- Template # 11 cut one strip 1-1/2" x 14" long

Sew in the order of light,med,dark- the strips lengthwise,
press to the dark side then cut into 3-1/2" pieces.

I have given the length of 14 inches so there will be room for trimming.

Thank you so much for doing the rotary instructions. So much easier and accurate for me than templates. Now if I could just get into my sewing room!!

Sorry, but I'm a little confused for template #8 in block number 3. What am I supposed to cut it at?

For T # 8 cut a square 3 7/8" then cut in half diagonally. these are correct sizes from the templates.
Please note that you can increase these sizes by a 1/16 of an inch. I find it just makes the finished piece more true to size after the joining, pressing, wobbly seams, etc. You can always trim. you can't add a piece. Anne

So much for my intentions of hand piecing this is so much easier, thanks Honchey I really appreciate your willingness to do this.
