THE FW PONY CLUB Quilt-Along Week 6 Broken Heart & Boy's Playmate Photo Page
I'm back on the trail...pulling up the rear...Of course, I took the easy way out and chose to do Boy's Playmate first...Broken heart is still in the covered wagon waiting to make it's debut....

Your block looks firey hot, Honchey! That touch of blue is going to be a great jumping off color for another block.
Lucky you did the easy one first. Glad the Grands weren't around tonight as Gram was cussing a blue steak by the time she got done and the paper's still in! Here's Broken Heart and then another little set of hearts. Heart blocks measure 1/2" finished and look QE "NO PAPER" touched these hearts.

Honchey .... those horses in the sunset (or is it a sunrise) make quite the statement! ITA with OKSGlad that all the colours are going to be great for jumping off to lots of other colours!! OKSGlad ... you got the tough and slow one done! You should use those mini ♥'s for the centre of Boy's Playmate! Great job done on your Broken ♥Here's mine ........

Hey those "boots are made for walking"! Really spices up the block. Saddle complements the boots as well.
I wonder how many will use a FC in the center of Broken Heart. Yours is spot on.
Thanks for the mini center idea. I'm also making a bunch of 3 inch houses so could use that idea too. Gnight. G

You know, we were all talking about how large the patterns are ...trying to fussy cut them to fit...It really is hard...these horses were in a very large panorama of desert and hills and in a 1/3 of a yard of fabric I could only get 4 of a kind for the rectangles. So I had to make do with two sets as close alike as I could.
Oksewglad, What are you going to do with the little heart blocks??? The block is so cute.
Both you and QuiltE"s blocks are so precise , neat, and just opposites of each other...Did you guys plan it that way???

Oh too funny ... I hadn't even registered on how our blocks were mirrored!
That's what I hate about fussy cutting ... feel like I'm wasting a lot of fabric.
The FCs in my Boy's Playmate are all from my anchor fabric ... and huge gaps between to get the full piece in each case.
Honchey ... your horses just look as though they are running around the circle there and because of that I don't think you didn't even need to have 2+2 (or all 4) matching. It gives a really nice effect!

Beautiful blocks again this week, no horsies for me, I am just playing in my garden of flowers looking at the stars
There were a few curse words coming from my sewing room too as I put together Broken Heart, did anybody count there was 57 pieces in that block
