The FWS 30's Quilt-Along Week 9 Block #17 Bride & Block #18 Carol
Hi Everyone, Week 9 and time to have a show & tell of Bride & Carol
I'm not sure if I'll have access to the internet at the guest house that's why I'm posting tonite..
Bride was a bear to sew and Carol was a pain..Maybe because I rushed to get them done..Carol is a little wonky and the middle of Bride is off.. but they are done, done, done....

Yours look great, Honchey. Nosegay gave me problems, but they are what they are. Nosegay was carried in Victorian Days to hide their body odors from not bathing..brides picked up on the idea and carried spray of flowers with them.

These look wonderful! I haven't started yet but have been collecting my 30's together in one place. I had many more prints than I thought at first. While I was cleaning and looking for more 30's I came across a full box (plastic) of 30's! I've had to buy more solid colors and before this is finished I will probably have to buy more. Will be posting soon....

Beautiful blocks Honchey and NS. I will start my two today. I think I will use a piece of your gorgeous fabric NS.
In those days, people bath themselves once a year and not a good bath either...every one would get in the same water, the baby would be the last one and the water would be black by then. It's a small wonder people were dying like flies of disease in those days. The saying, "don't throw the baby out with the bath water" as the water was so black that you could very well do that.
The bride would bath in June before the wedding lol.....
