Block # 61 Northern Lights
1. Dark T # 8 Cut one 3-7/8" square
2. Med T # 8 Cut one 3-7/8" square--mark a line diagonally on this square then place it right sides facing with the square from step 1. Sew a scant 1/4" seam on both sides of the line then cut on the line to get two HST"s.
3. Dark T # 4 Cut a strip 2" x 8-1/2" then every 2" to get four 2 " sqares.
4. Med T # 4 Repeat step 3.

Block # 62 Old Windmill
1. Light T # 7 Cut two strips 2-3/8" x 10-1/2" then every 2-3/8" to get eight 2-3/8" squares---mark a line diagonally set these aside.
2. Color 1. T # 7cut a piece 2-3/8" x 5" then every 2-3/8" to get two 2-3/8" squares
Take two squares from step 1 and place them right sides facing with the two squares from this step.
Sew a scant 1/4" seam on both sides of the line then cut on the line. Press to set the seam. open the square and press
again. Try not to stretch the seam or fabric.
Steps 3, 4 & 5 for T # 7 are the same as step 2 just different color fabric. Just follow step 2 for the next 3 colors
