Now you are soGlad aren't you, OK? Hop on board and show us your fabric! I sneaked into the sewing room this morning while my coffee was brewing just to look at my "spike" block and admire it again. It's even prettier today! It bugs me that I can't see how the quilt is finished, and that's good for me! It will be a while till I know, won't it?

SewGlad you're joining in OK! I think we needed committed when we did FWS & PC with all those tiny pieces. The pieces in SYE almost feel huge!
I'm with you jillnjo--I'm so curious about what this will look like. I'm not one for mystery quilts--have to know where I'm going. I'm stepping out of my usually anal comfort zone and just winging it.

OK...we're only totally sane when our creative self is at work. Good thing a lot of a Farmer's wife's work is creative....gardens, pantry shelves loaded with good things, home cooked meals, teaching the next generations...and then the relaxing creative art of sewing!! Somehow it gets balanced out. Glad you're with us.
I'm thinking that this will make a nice size lap quilt. At least that's my plan right now.
Welcome again to all of those that have found us. This is going to be fun!

AKWieland and Honchey-- wonderful fabric arrays. Today's special on MSQC is Stonehenge jewel tones jelly roll. I just love those fabrics, but there's not a charm pack to match -- otherwise I might have changed my colour scheme as I just fell in love with that particular collection. But I'm also happy with what I chose.
TODAY is the day I will do a test block from last years Craftsy's BOM. I gave up in frustration last year, but with all the encouragement here, I'm going to master it. Is it OK that I post the block on this thread since it is not out of this series? After all, it will be my first PP block and we all like to show off our new babies.

Oh thanks for supporting my insanity!! But maybe I support yours as well I liked QE's table runner so well that I've decided to make my blocks into tablemats--Holiday themed and give as Christmas gifts this year. So everytime I make a block I will be picking new fabrics--and that's what takes sooo long for me. So it'll be surprise fabric every month!
Oh I bet your block is just lovely jillnjo!
Payday today so another day of bookwork. Then 4-Her's GS comes around and asks if I can find costs for the feed his calves ate so he can do his 4-H record book. That time of year when they see the $ is takes to raise a calf.

I am reaaalllllly trying not to make the first block until September, cause if I don't start till then I can't change my mind on my fabric choices...
I'm with you JanRN, not really keen on mystery quilts, I normally follow along, keeping the patterns and then when it is revealed I make a decision on whether I like it or not.. I just got to know before I select fabric
What a wonderful parade of blocks we will have each month or fortnight
So back to the cave for me, have to finish a quilt this weekend..
