I Love Fleetwood Mac, Cher, ABBA, John Lennon, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel Free Bird, stairway to heaven, Aquarius, Bohemian Rhapsody. and depending on your point of view Barry Manilow, Rod Stewart, Donny and Marie, John Denver. Not fond of Meatloaf. That's all I can remember from High School.

While I loved many songs from the 70's, listening to them now often makes me feel sad. I don't know why? Here are a few that really take me back:
It Never Rains in Southern California by Albert Hammond
Behind Closed Doors by Charlie Rich
Most Beautiful Girl in the World by Charlie Rich
I still love the last two songs because my DH loved them, sang them to me and told me each time he heard them that they were his favorites because the songs made him think of me. He still tells me that. Isn't that wonderful?

I am from the class of '74. The song that defines boys of that era for me is, "jump in my car" by the ted mullary gang,
it is definately an aussie song, but still makes me laugh!
my favourite 70's songs are many....but I was in love with cat stevens.
pink floyd....a great band...dark side of the moon....classic
bee gees ....another great band with so many great songs
dolly parton....my all time favourite female singer
olivia newton john.....numerous very good songs too
eagles, elton john, america, crosby steels and nash, slade, deep purple....and the list goes on

Remember that Stayin' Alive is the recommended beat for doing CPR. Not kidding. That's what we were told when we took a refresher class a year ago! Maybe that's because Travolta lives in this town. Just sayin.' Did you have any SUpremes(Stop! In the Name of Love) or how about Beatles...That was a great era in music.
