Sounds like something I might be able to do. Do you have a picture? I'm wondering what kinds of plants the soil depth allows.
Edit: Okay, I found this website. One bag per tomato plant. I might have to do this!

I tried a straw bale garden one year. That's considerably more work. The bags sound more do-able.

Thanks for posting this! It is going to solve a lot of my gardening problems this year. I have leftover straw from my attempt at straw-bale gardening that I will be able to pull over the bags, just like in your picture!
