Bruiser & the tornado

Bruiser & the tornado
My friend Dee lost her home in the May 20th tornado. Her dog Bruiser survived but not without injuries. She's a very special friend, a teacher for over 30 years. I spoke with her today and asked her if she had gotten a quilt. She had not, so I told her I would make her one and that I had something in mind already. Now I need to choose my pattern. I decided the perfect fabric collection would be Wizard of Oz, since there's a tornado in it. I have got a little bit of the fabric, would like the fabric with ruby slippers. I'm posting a pic of Bruiser and one of him taken this last weekend when he got to go home. So happy for them that he survived.

Hope someone can come up with the fabric you need. It is so sad to see so many people who lost everything to the horrible tornados over the last few weeks. Hope your friend will be able to get back on her feet, and the dog too.

A Moore family survived the tornado and relocated to central Arkansas as they rebuilt their home. But on Sunday, tragedy struck again as their 5-year-old son was killed by a dog.

The stories that come out about the people that have gone through so very much, so sad.

Wow that is amazing that the dog survived and they found him. Poor guy. The other story you posted is heartbreaking. I simply can't imagine. Prayers for all the people in OK who have suffered devastating losses.

The power of water is staggering. The family is working hard to save the family's home and plan to use a chain to pull the house back later today.
