Does anyone do crocheting need help a with pattern
#1
I have been looking for a pattern for a crocheted oval doily made with crochet cotton. The pattern needs to be 45 inches long by 14 inches wide. I have tons of crochet books but none of the patterns I have work for it. A friend of mine wants me to make one for her with those dementions. Hope someone can help me with it.

I didn't have a "pattern" for the ones I made I just kind of winged it lol
I'd make a long chain then do singles all the way back to the end added a stitch or 3 in the end one and kept going in circles instead of back and forth using whatever stitches appealed to me at the time.

This is a wonderful site that has hundreds of vintage doily patterns. You have to join but it is easy. Hope you find something here.

I use to make doilies all the time as my Mother was a huge crocheter, I ended up with all her crochet books after she passed away. I kept most of her books and magazines and that amounts to atleast 200 of them or more. I haven't crocheted for about 10 years and a neighbor asked me to make some doilies. I have for gotten how to turn the patterns around for left hand. The doily I have to make has to be 14" wide and 45 inches long oval doily. None of the books my Mom had they are either to wide or not long enough. This has perked my interest in croching again.
