dog beds
I always made beds for my dog. I would use a piece of fabric or sometimes a pillowcase and stuff it with leftover fabrics bits, used thread and used batting.
We no longer have a dog but I wanted to make some beds for pets at the shelter. It seems like I recently heard or read not to use batting or thread in the beds. Did I dream that? I don't want the beds to be a hazard. How do you make your dog beds?

Our Guild does these dog beds. The inside batting/scraps have to be cut up like confetti. If they are kept long, the threads and strips can be swallowed and cause extra problems. I don't think they wash them, I think they are tossed once they are used.

Not for shelter but for home...I get old dresser drawers and make them a quilt to put inside it and they love it!!
You can put wheels underneath it if u wanted to. Only have to wash the quilt & maybe dust the wood sometime
