I'm sure everyone that watches TV has run across at least 1 commercial that has a doorbell ringing in it....sigh...well, I have a dumb dog that can't tell the difference between a TV doorbell and ours....
Tink sounds off, barking like a crazy nut and goes running to the door everytime one of those commercials come on...I tell her it's the TV, but she has to check anyhow. Plus, if I don't follow her to the door, she comes back a barks at me to tell me to hurry up and open that door.
Does anyone else have a nutty dog like this or am I the only lucky one?

My Boston does the same thing with every single commercial. I find it extremely funny. He is not my first dog to do that. If you remember the show Frasier, one common thing in every single episode was that there was at least one instance when someone rang his door bell. I had a dumb dog at the time and every single time she ran to the door barking. On episodes where there were multiple rings she went crazy. I could never watch re-runs of the show late at night (11:00PM) because she barked at any time.

My dogs bark at the doorbell in the commericals, as well. There is one for 'Time Warner' - I know when the bell is going to ring and I quick mute the TV before it happens.
Gotta love our mutts.....

I had a pom that used to do that, then we moved to the country. No doorbell and few to ring it. I swear that she could hardly wait for TV in the evenings so that she could "guard" us from something. She was one of the tiny ones that the front feet lift off the ground when they bark. I called it the bouncing bark.
