Ear ache temporary relief
I woke up with a painful ear ache last night and on into this morning. I have a slight cold too. I don't know if it is an infection or just from the cold. I remembered my great grandmother's remedy for ear aches that she used on all her kids and my grandmother used on her kids. I tried it this morning and it worked. My ear pain has stopped. I'll go to the Dr. in the morning but on Sunday, no place to go but the ER and I'll be there all day. My grandmother would crack open a peach pit and mash the kernel into a paste. Add a little warm oil or water and put a four or five drops in the ear. She never threw away a peach or apricot pit. Said it was valuable medicine. I always have saved a few of the pits thinking it couldn't hurt but never really used them until today. I'm a believer. It stopped the pain until a Dr can be seen to get it checked.

We always used equal parts Vinegar and rubbing alcohol when the kids were little and got ear aches at night. Soak a cotton ball and place it in the sore ear. It at least got us through the night. Why does it always happen at night and the weekends??? Glad you feel better~

I also heard of a clove of garlic in the ear. it's the old medicinal cures that seem to work well. glad you're feeling better. just think for thousands of years, that the medicine used was the ways and it workd. something to be said about them for sure.

"Never put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear and see a doctor as soon as possible" is the advice I have always followed. A good practice is also to blow one's nose upon rising and a couple of more times during the day - especially if one is a child prone to infection, one nostril at a time during the process.
