Embroidery Machine Sewers
Hi, wondering if any of you embroider on kitchen towels, not the terry type, but like the old time plain ones. Cotton, I would think. (I think they may have been called feed sack, but not prints)
I want to machine embroider the days of the week on them, and am looking for the towels. I want them to absorb water (so many of them do not because they are blended fibers.)Any suggestions?
Thanks
Marilynn

The "feed sack" towels are pretty thin, I wouldn't use those. When I want to do kitchen towels, I search high and low for 100% cotton. Tuesday Morning, Home Goods, Marshalls, Williams & Sonoma (on sale), etc. You can also order huck toweling by the yard online from various machine embroidery websites. I haven't done any in a while though, but these sites come to mind: Embroider This, All About Blanks, and so forth. Also try Mary Jo's Cloth Store (online). (I use a polymesh cutaway stabilizer).
