Fabric Orgami Christmas Trees
Has anyone ever tried to do the Fabric Orgami Christmas Trees. Spent three hours in my sewing room with you tube learning how to make 60degree triangles and the next two hours trying to figure out how to fold triangle to find center sew my points to center and then turn over and do the points again And I need to do 11 of them. Found two tutes One by Nannynotes2u and BossyMomma. Has to be an easier way

I haven't made any origami Christmas trees but did make a few snowflakes one year. Rebecca Wat has some nice books on fabric origami, which may be available through your guild or at the local library. I often find it easier to open a book, read through the instructions and then work at my own pace to figure out something that complicated. With a video, it may be too many steps to remember, whereas printed instructions will wait patiently for you forever!

The tutorial I am doing is the one you can find on Nannynotes2u:fabricxmastree. Finally took the laptop down to my sewing room sat on the floor and got the triangle cut out sewed together part I am having trouble with now is folding It says to fold sides 1 and 2 together and pinch then fold 2 and 3 together and pinch. After I do the pinching mine dosen't look like the picture. then you bring the tips of triangle down sew turn over and bring sides in again Maybe my practice material is to thin When I get home tonight from work I will use the material I'm making the tree from it fills thicker.

I would cut a piece of paper the size of the finished triangle before the pinch part. Using the paper, fold and pinch 2 times, then use the paper as a pattern to find the center of each piece. That is what she wants you to do is find the center to start sewing the points to the back side.
