grr - sharpie on blouse
#1
Grabbed an orange sharpie to write something and clumsy me dropped it on my purple blouse :-(. Luckily, it's cow appreciation day (ie, dress like cow, get free chicken from chick-fil-a) and I dressed like a cow for free breakfast. So I took my spots (black construction paper safety pinned to shirt) off my white blouse. Oh well, at least I don't have to walk around with a large orange spot on my shirt all day. Any suggestions on what I can try to save the blouse? It's a cotton/spandex mix, so cutting it up for quilt squares is not an option :-(. If I can't get it out, I may try making a doll dress or something out of it.

Sharpies are tough.
Maybe Goof-off or whatever that stuff is called. I used it on my husband's jeans after we used oil based stain on the fence. Took about 3 days of soaking, rinsing with a hose and repeating until I finally washed the jeans about 3 times in the washer. They came out looking almost new.
Can you put a small patch over it? Or wear the shirt with Overalls. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. Goof-off is sold at Meijer, which is on my way home from work. I'll run in there and pick that and some oxy clean up and work on it over the weekend. It was my favorite purple blouse, but I only paid a few dollars for it at Good Will, so I'm not spending the $ at the dry cleaners :-(. I will try the stain remover products though.
ETA: found some rubbing alcohol at work and have been trying that. But the container's about empty. I know I've got some of that at home that I can try.
